Paul E. Borgman, Chief Executive Officer
Paul is a co–founder of Smoothstone and has served as the company´s Chief Executive Officer since its foundation in 2000. Prior to Smoothstone, Paul founded and operated several high growth companies including ViperLink, the first high–speed wireless Internet access provider in the United States. Paul has a vast range of executive level experience in leading the marketing, sales, operations and strategic functions in companies moving from start-up through maturity and has also served as Vice President of the asset–based lending and leveraged buyout group for a leading regional bank. Paul attended the University of Kentucky, received a BS in Economics from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Bellarmine University.

Jeff M. Wellemeyer, Chairman & President
Jeff is a co–founder of Smoothstone and led the development of the company´s platform for delivering centralized, hosted communication services and on–demand applications. Prior to Smoothstone, Jeff founded several companies and launched numerous technical products into the marketplace. In 1991, he created TeleVoice — the first solid state residential voicemail system. In 1993, he created a product for the casino industry that kept track of house banks by using a series of laser and reflective sensing devices. In 1994, he developed VirtualPAY, the Internet´s first billing and payment lockbox and then sold it to National Processing Company (NYSE: NAP) in 1996. Jeff co–founded ViperLink in 1997, enabling the delivery of the first high–speed wireless Internet access in the United States. In 1999, ViperLink was sold to Paul Allen backed Darwin Networks, where he served as CTO.

Shelly Godfrey, Chief Operations Officer
Shelly is one of Smoothstone´s founding members and has led the implementation of Smoothstone´s services and the development of the company´s operational support systems. Shelly began her career implementing a national sales force automation system for the merchant card and transaction processing division of National City Bank. In 1996, as VP of Emerging Technologies for National Processing Company (NYSE: NAP), Shelly worked to develop the VirtualPAY System. In 1999, Shelly joined Darwin Networks, where she was responsible for the company´s engineering group, including national backbone infrastructure deployment, metropolitan wireless communications and network build out.

Jon Jorgl, Chief Development Officer
Jon brings extensive operating, sales and transactional experience to his role at Smoothstone, where he is responsible for strategic partnerships and corporate development. Prior to Smoothstone, Jon served as EVP of Corporate Development at WestCom, the leading provider of trader voice services to the global financial community, until the company was sold to IPC Systems in 2007. Jon has extensive experience in General Management, Sales and Operations with a career that has included responsibility for the acquisition and integration of six companies in the US, Europe and Asia. Jon also served as a SVP of Sales with Global Crossing through its acquisition of IXnet, a global network provider serving the financial community, which he helped take public in 1999.

James Whitemore, Chief Marketing Officer
James brings a wealth of experience in marketing, sales and general management to Smoothstone, where he is responsible for all aspects of product management and corporate marketing. Prior to Smoothstone, James was the Chief Marketing Officer at Savvis, a leading provider of IT Infrastructure Services and Cloud based computing, network and security services. James started his career in Europe, with Standard Telephones and Cables (STC), and has held a variety of sales and marketing positions in Europe, Asia and the US with Sun Microsystems, IBM and StorageTek. James holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Business from Newcastle University in the UK.
