2008 Thunder Over Louisville Registration
Please join us for our first-ever Smoothstone Summit on Friday and Saturday,
April 11th and 12th in Louisville, Kentucky.
Festivities begin noon Friday at Smoothstone for office tours and business sessions, followed by a reception/dinner party at the Hyatt Regency that evening. Saturday, we will host a hospitality tent on the riverfront for 'Thunder over Louisville', the largest fireworks display in North America. 'Thunder' serves as the kickoff for the two weeks of celebration prior to the Kentucky Derby.
At 3pm, the Thunder Air Show starts, featuring more than 100 planes, aerobatic teams and breathtaking stunts starring the United States Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marines. After dark, the 28-minute fireworks spectacular begins, created from eight 200-foot barges assembled on both sides of the 2nd Street Bridge. This stunning show includes a one-mile 'waterfall' effect off of the bridge, making the fireworks seem to rain down forever.
