A Louisville–based non–profit dedicated
to serving the needs of visually–impaired children and their parents
through a variety of programs and services at two locations containing
over 30 members.
Challenge
VIPS was expanding their main facility and decided it was time to
upgrade their old phone system. They were tired of dealing with
different carriers, especially since their sole IT person was
outsourced. They wanted new phones and access to new services and
applications that could help their organization grow. Additionally,
since they had no in–house IT staff, they wanted a managed solution
that could act as a support system when problems occur.
Solution
Smoothstone delivered a new MPLS network with Cisco equipment down to
the IP phones on the desktop. Additionally, they now have access to
Smoothstone´s full suite of on–demand voice and Smoothstone´s Network
Operations Center 247/365 if questions or problems arise.
